All I can say is, I just went from zero to a hundred in what feels like 3.5. And it’s been a journey, so many ups & downs. Since Covid, I have been booking more smaller and intimate couples sessions in farm fields at sunset, and it’s been a really great transition into working again. Although, the nerves always hit me. I wish I could quiet that voice that stirs my nerves, because the second Lauren messaged me to shoot her and her beau I was floored/excited/jittery!
Lauren is an insanely talented wedding planner apart of the Blush & Bowties pack. I remember the last wedding we worked together, at Alex & Tom’s Airship37 Wedding. Brandon referred to her as the most easy going person at the wedding, giving me jabs because I was the only person stressed out in the building. Yes, far more than the bride and the wedding planner put together. I remember there being SO much photograph, so many details, so many memories and people that I wanted to meet. And sometimes, my thoughts are so loud that I can’t focus. And yet, there was Lauren, doing her thing and rocking out beside one of the most stunning, greenery installations that I’ve ever seen.
Fast forward a couple years, I find myself hanging out with Miss Easy Going and her love, Mr Easier Going! It was by far the most easy going shoot. We spent the good quarter of twilight just chilling that f*ck out, walking around, sweating in the heat and taking in the most stunning sunset. At one point, I found myself trying to rebound from covid, by overcompensating with things to do to keep them busy. But soon realized these two were all about just hanging out. I didn’t realize it at the time, mostly because I feel that I need to capture the best of the best that I can possibly (thanks inernet and instagram!) but Lauren & Pat didn’t need too much from me. They had it all sorted. And by that I mean they were in tune with one another to the point that I felt my words were whispers. As much as I wish I could take the credit for the moments, I was the lucky one to capture and witness their connection & their story.
Okay, wow, what a huge blog…. sorry about that, I am obviously far gone from being the easy going one, but with that said, without further ado, here is Lauren & Pat and their adventure at sunset amongst the waxing crescent moon. A night to remember.
