It was a couple years ago that Tara reached out and locked us down to shoot her wedding. We didn’t get a chance up beforehand, mostly because her and Thomas live on the other end of the world. But I tell ya, before I was even introduced I was welcomed in her arms with the biggest smile on her face. I felt like I found a long lost friend. Okay, so let me tell you a bit about these two sweet hearts before I jump into their wedding day.
They first met at Steam Whistle Brewery years ago, and it was truly happenstance that an American girl met the Australian man of her dreams. In the middle of the loud noises and beers smells of the gallery room in the brewery, Tara and Thomas began their story. A story that spans across the world that connects families and friendships in what was one of the funnest celebrations to capture.
Now, I’ll be honest. I get a wee bit nervous when I know the bridal party is big. I don’t know why, I just feel like I need to put on a show to keep every entertained and do you know how hard it is wrangle a whole group shot without one person blinking? It’s next to impossible. Cue T & T’s group. I’m not sure if it’s an international thing, but their bridal party we’re some of the sweetest damn people in the world. Not only did they care so much that Tara & Thomas were having a blast, but also checked in on us to make sure we were okay too. Like who does that? I was already inspired by Tara & Thomas’ energy and then their crew come along like a hot cup of tea on a cold day.
Sadly, T & T did not get the sunset photos that we were hoping for, but on a totally cool note, they held their ceremony at sunset and it was pretty surreal watching the warmth of the sunset cast long glowing shadows during their vows.
Tara & Thomas, we feel fortunate that we got to be apart of your day, especially considering every single one of your guests (minus one being from Toronto) flew in for your special day. Thank you for the biggest hug upon arriving and the biggest hug upon leaving. Please come back to Toronto and I promise you a sunset session anytime <3 without further ado, here is the lovely Tara & Thomas and their Toronto Brewery Wedding
