Lis & Kris.
It was a night in October.
When I first captured these two on film, my attention was fully on them. And I was captivated (Check out their all analog sesh here.)
It’s very hard to start with this one, because there was so much heart involved.
Words that come to mind when I think of this day: kindness, nervous hands, relaxed smiles, soft tears and real talks.
Let me share with you the amount of hardwork that went into this wedding. And I say this because in this industry, this beautiful industry we are apart of, things appear easy, wonderful and perfect. They are not, my friends. They take blood, sweat & tears; I’m not being dramatic either.
To start, they custom made their stunning invitations, with hand torn paper and wax seal finishings. The candles that provided the light and ambiance for the evening for 300 in total. Not including the hand poured candles that they made for each and every guest that was a warming scent based on “A Night in October.” The greenery, dried goodness and foliage was all thanks to their incredible florist Bethany from Wild North Flowers who helped them forage in and around local spots to fill up the canvas that is District28, I mean how badass is that.
Lis is a very talented artist specializing in fine handmade jewellery. I know, not only is the woman smart, stunning and beyond elegant but is hella artistic. Check out her incredible pieces here! She designed her and Kris’ wedding bands, which titled Till Death on the inside, and may be one of my favourite ring photographs that I’ve ever captured.
There is so, so much more that I simply can’t even put into words, so I’ll allow for the photos to speak for the moments. And what a momentous day it was. Lis & Kris, I freakin adore you. Without further ado, here is their modern meets boho chic wedding, A Night in October. Be prepared to be blown away by this one <3
