I was heading up north, on a highway that I am very familiar with, getting excited for another adventure couples photo session. I was stoked because it was in the country, far away from the city, and just what I needed. The idea of rolling hills, tall grass & capturing love made me feel alive. I drove past a familiar intersection and made a right, from there I drove off into unknown territory.
I drove up this little hidden gem, with The Clash blasting from my Jeep. Cameras in bag, ignition turned off. As I walked up to the door I noticed that it was quiet, very quiet, and so serene & peaceful. Immediately Kim & Gurprit opened the door with big smiles and even bigger hugs. We took a look at the outfits of choice and headed out to shoot among the adorable heritage that was their humble abode.
My favorite part was easily the moment that Kim snapped a couple 35mm stills of Gurpit, then ran up to him and smacked him with a smooch. I guess I love those little exchanges that happen between people when they feel excited, and let me tell you, I was excited to photograph this duo. Thank you K & G for opening up your world to me, running around in the field and just having the best time together. Gurpit went on 24 hours without sleep and lots of travel and yet totally showed up with a smile and so much love. So, thank you, and I cannot WAIT for your wedding at Kortright. Without further ado, here are these two sweethearts hanging out in the middle of nowhere.
