It all started when I met with Amy & Cameron at one of my fave coffee shops Reunion Island. When these two walked in & smiled I thought immediately “OMG that is Curtis Stone from Masterchef Australia!!!!!” To my surprise it was the wonderful couple that inquired with me to photograph their special day. First off, I need to thank Joanna (a great friend of theirs who recommended my work to these two!) I am forever grateful that she did because I couldn’t imagine not getting to be apart of their wedding. Joanna is also a photographer, and whenever another artist recommends me I am always so humbled, so thank you Jo <3
We kicked the day off the with boys at Goose Island Brewery, captured the most adorable first look at the Adelaide Hotel. And adventured with the whole group around downtown Toronto, with a first look with their furbaby Otis (probably my favorite part of the day, which is tough to say because every part of this wedding was unbelievable!)
Their ceremony was simple and short, with a focus on love & joy. It suited these two perfectly. We all toasted Amy & Cam with a bubbly glass of champagne and that’s when the real party began. There was one point that my husband looked at me while taking a break from shooting and said that he didn’t want to stop. That there were so many incredible moments and so much intoxicating energy that is basically like heroine for a photographer. I couldn’t have agreed more. Dee Dee & The Dirty Martini’s serenaded us all with some classic Motown hits and an amazing performance. But I gotta say my favorite performance of the night was when we wandered at sunset with Amy & Cam, and they two danced around the street, stopping traffic and having the best time together.
What I love about these two? The way they balance one another. It was so fun working alongside them planning their day and seeing their unique dynamics balance eachother out. Brandon and I were beyond honoured to photograph and witness the love of these two and to be apart of this celebration with their closest. Seriously, Amy & Cam, I’m talking to you now, can we please do this again? We had so much fun and already miss you guys. Without further ado here is Amy & Cameron’s Great Hall Wedding.
