Des & Matt were looking for the sort of laid back, farm field adventure. Somewhere in their beautiful new hometown. We first had our sights set on another gorgeous location. A desolate field, stretching as far as the eye could see. It has rolling hills in the background and a significant tree full of as much character as a weirwood from a Games of Thrones tale. When we drove up to the spot, all amped and ready to shoot, we realized that a desert of 10 foot tall corn stalks stood between our dream and the reality of it. So we went to plan B, to a spot just down the road. Little did we know, after adventuring and exploring the area, that the FUZZ was called on us. We spent the sunset embracing the last bit of the warmth and I had Des & Matt work up a sweat running around in bean plant fields. We got to experience the most ancient looking trees, which fulfilled our hope to connect their shoot with nature. After all the frolicking, apple-picking and wandering we ended up at our cars; blocked in by the owner of the property. Yes, we were booked. But not actually. We had a chat with the dude, and it all worked out to be a misunderstanding, and no we were not out to steal his farming equipment. All in all, this evening was magic. These two are incredible together. I can’t wait for their wedding next year at the Sir William Mckenzie Inn, where I am lucky enough to spend a whole weekend shooting and celebrating with their families. Without further ado, here is the farm field adventure of Matt & Des.
