You know when you meet a couple, and you feel like friends immediately upon meeting them. Tyler & Rudy are those kind of people that make you feel so comfortable. They both are the friendliest and have such contagious smiles, I couldn’t wait to photograph their wedding.
I’ll give you a bit of a back story, they had originally planned to book a venue, a beautiful spot that they loved at first. And the more they got into planning, the more they realized it wasn’t for them. When they messaged me to let us know they changed their venue and decided to move the wedding to their parents backyard on a farm, I was ecstatic. 1. I can only imagine how much courage it took for them to make this big decision, so yea they are pretty bad ass. 2. I secretly adore photographing home weddings. Especially when people are so lucky to have a whole farm as their canvas. There is something so intimate, and homey when couples get married at a family house or cottage.
Tyler & Rudy definitely held one heck of a party. It may have been the hottest day of the year, with the heat rising to 39 degrees celcius. But they totally rocked it. Even during their ceremony, which was the hottest point of the day. I remember at one point Tyler was checking if I was okay because I was drenched in sweat, haha, I mean a bucket of sweat was pouring from my forehead. Sorry you two for sweating on you guys all day, and thank you for being the lovely, positive and amazing people you are.
If you are into roaring bonfires, gigantic trees, homey & rustic touches, shotgunning beers, dancing in the field, the sweetest little weiner dogs and a whole lot of love, you will adore this wedding. Congrats Tyler & Rudy, what a beautiful day to celebrate two incredible people. My favorite thing about these two, just them (and their dogs). They make me smile. Without further ado, here is the backyard farm wedding of Tyler & Rudy!
